Over the past few months we have been collaborating with Silverstone Museum, BRM and the B.R.M Association on an exciting project to raise public awareness of Bourne’s proud motorsport heritage and importantly to inspire the next generation of engineers.

This project was energised In June last year, when the BRM Association marked the 60th Anniversary of BRM winning both the Formula 1 constructors championship and Graham Hill becoming 1972 World Champion with a memorable day at the Corn Exchange featuring a display of many historic BRM’s and period films.

BMRC were kindly allowed to have presence on the day and were overwhelmed with the public’s response, indeed some of you signed up to become members.

It was evident from the feedback that many had no knowledge of the history of the towns motorsport heritage, yet there was an avid interest in motorsport especially within the younger age group.
