For our November meeting, we look forward to an illustrated talk from the formidable double-act of Ian Titchmarsh and Peter McFadyen.

Ian commentated on his first race in the mid-70’s and was a journalist and motorsports fan for many years before that. Having been principal commentator at Silverstone from 1983 to 2015 and covered races at virtually every other UK circuit, he’s a familiar and knowledgeable voice to anyone who has attended race meetings during the last half-century. In his other endeavours, he’s been part of the Radio Le Mans team, a Director of the BRDC and Lead Judge in the Racing category at the 2024 RAC Historic Awards.

Peter has been photographing motorsport since the 1960’s and his work has appeared in many books, including the leading motorsports annual ‘Autocourse.’ For many years, he contributed pictures and race reports from Oulton Park, Aintree, Donington and other UK circuits; to ‘Autosport’ and ‘Motorsport (formerly Motoring) News.’ He has published two books on racing at Oulton Park and has raced his Lotus Elan in the Classic Sports Car Club’s ‘Swinging Sixties’ series. He remains an active member of the Lotus Drivers Club.
