Our speaker this month is Kevin Bourne, a motorsport instructor and mechanical engineer, who is pursuing a project to break the Jaguar land speed record.

The car based on a 1980’s Jaguar XJ6 saloon, stripped of its luxury trimmings is nicknamed “Alfred”. Kevin designed, built and created it, including a totally unique V12 engine, powering the car to speeds in excess of 220 mph. 

He is destined to take Alfred to Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah USA, one of the few places in the world capable of holding Land speed record attempts.

His incredible journey will be a fascinating story.
